Approached by Harris Farm Markets and briefed on their vision for the flagship store in Westfield Bondi Junction, we were asked to create a unique and bespoke machine for the bakery. Putting pencil to paper, we used creativity and know-how to cut through the complexity. We channelled our ideas and identified the strongest innovative concept.
Shortly following the approval of the concept, we designed and manufactured a working prototype. The physical prototype allowed Harris Farm Markets to see the details up close and how the machine would function. The prototype was met with much enthusiasm. With sign-off in hand, we commenced production.
Within the Westfield Bondi Junction store, the bakery space is home to The Bread & Butter Project. The Project is the first social enterprise bakery, making a difference to those who need it most. All profits are reinvested into baker training and employment.
Harris Farm Markets with the Bread and Butter Project, delivers more than just a bread shop. Instead creating an artisan bakery which facilitates a meaningful impact on society. It showcases to the community how we, as Australians, interact with people less fortunate.
A visit to The Bread & Butter Project in Harris Farm Markets is always enjoyable. The beckoning aroma of fresh bread, the enchanting Breadfall, together with the bakery staff’s genuine delight in engaging with customers, makes this a destination to put at the top of your shopping list.
